Long post short: Don't hold your breath, and I would suggest CCP withhold any payment from TransGaming until real progress is seen. War doesn't determine who's right, but who's left. I,ve been playing eve on my mac since last summer (2006) with bootcamp etc. Long post short: Don't hold your breath, and I would suggest CCP withhold any payment from TransGaming until real progress is all your political humor needs Indeed, there are plenty of DirectX and OpenGL games that run better on the free (as in freedom) WINE than on the proprietary Cedega. Anyone that has tried Cedega can tell you that TransGaming can make things run, but commonly at the expense of stability and features. Also, I would HIGHLY doubt that they will be able to deliver a real product. Those of us that have been running Linux for a while have a gathered a lot of disdain for TransGaming and their blantant profiteering off the WINE project.
#WINE FOR MAC G5 FULL#
That requires a full windows cd too and id rather just not have that pos program near my mac tyvm :) Never tried it on a Mac before, but apparently it works well enough. If its an Intel Mac OSX, Wine should do the trick for you. I get giddy with excitement everytime i look at that link :D could be im in a hotel with my mac laptop wishing i could play eve atm and not watch traffic go byĭownload Bootcamp, its pretty easy to handle and runs very good.

This Space Reserved until my sexy new sig is completed. Check the technical forums for more info. It's a ways down the road though, but it is coming. CCP, in conjunction with Transgaming, will be releasing a special "Cider enhanced" version of EVE for MAC.
